This 3-day tour will definitely reveal the most beautiful and fascinating sights in Transylvania and the nearby area.
The trip first takes you to the region of the Olt Valley, where you will visit Cozia Monastery, built by Mircea the Elder. Cozia Monastery is one of the most valuable monuments of national medieval art and architecture in Romania. It was painted between 1390-1391 and some of the original frescoes are still present. Cozia Monastery also features a museum of old art: old manuscripts and prints, embroideries and objects of worship.
Next, you will visit Sibiu - amazing medieval city in Transylvania, once the largest and wealthiest strongholds in Europe, nowadays a city of art and culture, that has the power to fascinate; during the walking tour of the Old Center you will see: The Big Square, The Liars Bridge, The Brukenthal Palace and The Clock Tower.

After Sibiu, you will explore the other two amazing cities, full of medieval charm and history: Alba Iulia and Sighisoara. Alba Iulia is like a journey in the past: you will visit Alba Carolina fortress, Alba Iulia Museum, Catholic Cathedral of Alba Iulia, The Obelisk dedicated to Horea, Closca, and Crisan. Alba Carolina Fortress is the largest and one of the best-kept in Romania, unique in the European military architecture. Sighisoara is a unique well-preserved medieval citadel, part of the UNESCO World Heritage and still inhabited today, landmarks you will have a chance to see there: The Clock Tower, The Church on the Hill and the Dracula’s House.

This trip will also give you an opportunity to discover Brasov - perfect mix of wonderful mountain scenery and medieval history with German influence. You will admire the best of Brasov in a walking tour, which includes the Main Square, the Old Council Hall, the Black Church, the medieval walls and defence towers.

After Brasov, the trip continues revealing one of the most popular sights in Transylvania, namely Dracula’s Castle, which is surrounded by myth and legend. Bran Castle, famous worldwide as Dracula’s Castle is an impressive 13th-century hilltop fortress that offers an amazing view of the surrounding mountains and valleys as well as provides facts on Romanian history since it used to play a key role in protecting the region against invaders.
From Bran, you will depart to Sinaia where you will visit unique and remarkable landmarks like Sinaia Monastery and Peles Castle, one of the most stunning castles in Europe and a masterpiece of architecture, which offers visitors a breathtaking mountain scenery. One of the oldest and most famous mountain resorts, known as “The Pearl of the Carpathians", once also used to be a summer residence of the Romanian royal family.

Day 1 | Bucharest - Sibiu- Alba Iulia (approx. 350 km)

The tour starts with a pleasant drive to Cozia Monastery, one of the most valuable monuments of the national medieval art and architecture in Romania, built by Mircea the Elder. The trip continues to one of the most important cultural centres in Romania - Sibiu. This amazing medieval city was one of the largest and wealthiest strongholds in Europe and nowadays it is a city of art and culture that has the power to fascinate. Walking tour in the old centre will reveal such places as The Big Square, The Liars Bridge, The Bukenthal Palace and The Clock Tower.
After that, you will arrive in Alba Iulia, which will be visited the next day.

Day 2 | Alba Iulia - Sighisoara - Brasov (approx. 240 km)

Upon breakfast, in the hotel, you will take a walk in Alba Iulia. The city of Alba Iulia is like a journey in the past, full of history. You will visit Alba Carolina fortress, Alba Iulia Museum, Catholic Cathedral of Alba Iulia, The Obelisk dedicated to Horea, Closca and Crisan. Next stop after Alba Iulia, is Sighisoara, where you will explore an impressive medieval fortress, part of the UNESCO World Heritage: The Clock Tower, The Church on the Hill and Dracula’s House.

Day 3 | Brasov - Bran - Sinaia - Bucharest (approx. 240 km)

After breakfast in the hotel, you will visit Brasov - a perfect mix of wonderful mountain scenery and medieval history with German influence. You will admire the best of Brasov in a walking tour, that includes the Main Square, the Old Council Hall, the Black Church, the medieval walls and defence towers.
The trip continues to Bran Castle, an intriguing 13th-century hilltop fortress, famously known as Dracula’s Castle, that attracts tourists from all over the world fascinated by the myth of the Count Dracula of Transylvania. After Bran, you will be taken to Sinaia, where you will stop at Sinaia Monastery built in the 17 century and Peles Castle, a former summer residence of the royal family and one of the top 10 castles in Europe.
From Sinaia, you will travel back to Bucharest. See less
