Take a trip away from San Francisco on a half-day tour to Muir Woods and Sausalito. This enthralling journey takes you across the Golden Gate Bridge to the Bay Area's most popular national monument and the prettiest village in California
Travel across the Golden Gate Bridge and through the rugged coastal mountains of Marin County. Experience the magnificent views of San Francisco Bay and the valleys where the Coastal Miwok once lived. Our first stop is the Muir Woods National Monument, where ancient groves of Giant Redwoods, or Sequoia Sempervirens, tower over Redwood Creek. This tour gives you more time in Muir Woods than is offered by any tour company. And your Muir Woods entrance fee is included.

You will visit the beautiful coastal town of Sausalito next. This is a gorgeous Mediterranean-style village with quaint shops, art galleries, and waterfront restaurants. If a one-hour stop in Sausalito isn’t enough for you, extend your stay and return by ferry to San Francisco at your leisure. The ferry passes Alcatraz Island, offers spectacular views of the San Francisco skyline and docks at Pier 41, in the heart of Fisherman’s Wharf. The cost of the ferry is not included unless selected during booking.

07:40 am / 10:40 am / 1:40 pm — Departure from Post Street pickup location

08:00 am / 11:00 am / 2:00 pm — Departure from Leavenworth pickup location

08:00–09:30 am / 11:00–12:30 pm / 2:00–3:30 pm — Make your way to Muir Woods National Monument by crossing the Golden Gate Bridge. We’ll stop at Golden Gate Vista Point so you can appreciate the splendid Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island and the San Francisco skyline and take some amazing photos.

9:30–11:30 am / 12:30–2:30 pm / 3:30–5:30 pm — Enjoy a full hour and a half among the giant redwood sequoias and bring out the photographer that lives inside you. You will have time to explore the trails and bridges, listen to the sound of the water and breathe in the fresh air provided by the tall, ancient trees.

11:40–12:40 pm / 2:40–3:40 pm / 5:40–6:40 pm — Take your time exploring the Bay Area’s prettiest village — Sausalito. Stroll along the boutiques, restaurants and cafes and from the waterfront enjoy the view of the San Francisco skyline.

12:40 pm / 3:40 pm / 6:40 pm — Time to make our way back to San Francisco and conclude the tour at your pickup location.

If a one-hour stop in Sausalito isn’t enough for you, extend your stay and return by ferry to San Francisco at your leisure.
