This private tour to spectacular Monterey, iconic 17-Mile Drive, and glorious Yosemite National Park, gives you the opportunity to experience the breathtaking natural beauty of Northern California in just 2 days.
Cruise along California’s spectacular coastline through Highway 1, pass the mansions on the iconic 17-Mile Drive and explore Monterey and its famous Aquarium on the first day of your tour. On your second day, walk through the Mariposa Grove of giant sequoias, enjoy the stunning views of Half –Dome and El Capitan, and swim or bike around the base of Yosemite Falls. Your tour of the Northern California Essentials includes 1 night of accommodation either in the heart of Yosemite Valley or at a nearby lodge.
Day 1
After picking you up from your hotel, your tour begins with a scenic drive along the spectacular Pacific coast Highway. Where coastal mountains overlook blue green waters, interrupted by lovely sandy beaches where wind surfers enjoy the waves coming in from the pacific and rocky outcrops where sea lions lounge enjoying the warm sun.
Upon our arrival to Monterey‘s Cannery Row made famous by Steinbeck‘s novel’s, there will be time for browsing the one-of-a-kind shops or enjoying many of the famous fish delicacies offered by the many restaurants dotting the shoreline. Next we will continue along Pacific Grove and onto the 17-Mile Drive stopping along the way to photograph famous landmarks like Pebble Beach golf club and the lone cypress. The 17-Mile Drive finishes at the quaint village of Carmel by the sea. We will stop in Carmel considered one of the most beautiful villages along the Pacific coast before heading inland through the coastal mountains and California’s San Joaquin valley to the Sierra Nevada Mountains. We will overnight in Oakhurst, just outside Yosemite National Park.
Day 2
We will start our second day entering the park through the Mariposa Grove of giant sequoias. There will be time to walk through this ancient forest of 3000 year old trees that can reach 36 feet in diameter before continuing through the park to Yosemite Valley. Our tour will continue with the famous Yosemite Valley Tunnel view featuring views of Yosemite's famous Granite cliffs carved out by ancient glaciers. A walk, a swim or a bike ride around the base of Yosemite Falls will be a highlight of your time. You will have the afternoon free to enjoy this spectacular park before leaving Yosemite to San Francisco, where we expect to drop you off around 8 PM.
