Enjoy this guided city tour of Salvador, home to beautiful Baroque-style architecture. After pick up from the hotels, head to Santo Antonio da Barra Fort, built in 1536 to protect the Bay of All Saints. 162 years later it gained a lighthouse to guide the boats coming to the coast, the "Farol da Barra", which still works to the present day (step out of the vehicle for photos for 15 minutes). Then visit São Diogo Fort, from where you have an incredible view of All Saints Bay (stop for 10 minutes approximately). You will pass the Corridor of Vitória, Largo do Campo Grande (one of the circuits of the carnival), and 7 de Setembro Avenue. From there continue the tour to the Pelourinho (Historic Center of Salvador), stopping at Municipal Square which has a panoramic view of the Lower City (Lacerda Elevator, Commerce, Salvador Harbor and Mercado Modelo) and stop at Sé Square, a place that keeps ruins of the first Basilica of Brazil located next to Salvador's first Archbishop's Palace. Continue the City Tour towards Largo do Pelourinho, where there is the Rosário dos Pretos Church and the Jorge Amado House Foundation. Head to the São Francisco Church and Convent, considered one of the most unique and rich expressions of Brazilian Baroque (Approximate visitation time of 30 min - Fee of BRL 5,00). Then you will have a stop for lunch (not included) with tasty local food. The guide will suggest you the best restaurants in the area.
After lunch time, start the panoramic tour through the Lacerda Elevator, a public urban elevator with 72 metres connecting the lower city to the upper city. You will get astounding views of the city before reaching Modelo Market, a popular market featuring more than two hundred shops selling a variety of arts, crafts & souvenirs, plus restaurants. There will be a stop for shopping for around 40 minutes. Then you will go to the Church of Nosso Senhor do Bonfim (Our Lord of Bonfim, most devoted Saint of Bahia), where you can take the opportunity to tie your ribbons with 03 wishes and make your prayers. Meet the new Orla da Ribeira and you will have the option to try the eccentric flavors of the famous Ribeira Ice Cream (not included). Have you ever tried tapioca ice cream?
From there, visit the Mont Serrat Fort (Important 17th Century building) where you will have one of the most beautiful views of the city of Salvador. You will have around 10 minutes to contemplate the view before continuing to the Dyke of Tororó with 08 sculptures of the most important Orixás of the African Religion, the work of Baiano Artist Tati Moreno. You will get a panoramic view of this place and of the modern Fonte Nova Soccer Arena.
Finally, return to the bus that will take passengers back to their respective hotels.
