The beaches of Normandy went down in history in 1944 when Allied forces landed to rescue Europe from Nazi invasion. You will start the tour by visiting Omaha Beach, where the Allied took advantage of the Germans. Then you will spend about an hour at the American Cemetery in Colleville-sur-Mer and go through the 10,000 white crosses with the name of the D-Day heroes on each. Visit of Arromanches-sur-Mer, where you can find the old artificial port used to supply the landed troops. A gourmet break will allow you to taste normal products such as crêpes and cider. You will visit the impressive Longues-sur-Mer battery. End of the excursion at the Juno Beach Center, witness of the Canadian soldiers' struggle to end the Nazi tyranny.
