1. Visit the Iconic La Sagrada Família

La Sagrada Família is a unique and unfinished church towering above the heart of Barcelona. The church was designed by Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí and is a modern masterpiece. You'll be able to take a guided tour of La Sagrada Família to learn about its history and construction, and to understand the symbolism Guadí filled it with.

2. Explore the Colorful Park Güell

Another of Gaudí’s designs, Park Guell is famous for its colorful mosaics, the serpentine bench and gingerbread houses. The park is home to one of the most iconic pictures possible for your Instagram. You’ll also find the Gaudí House Museum within the park to learn more about his work.

3. Take in Gaudí’s Casa Batllo

Casa Batllo is one of Gaudí’s most famous works and it’s possible for you to take a guided tour of the house. Kids will be fascinated by the building, whose rook is often likened to a dinosaur or dragon. It’s part of a row of houses designed by noted Catalan architects.

4. Have a Stroll Along La Rambla

The tree-lined La Rambla is a popular street full of flowers, street traders, performers, and delightful pavement cafes and bars. It is lined with beautiful architecture and the surrounding area is one of Barcelona’s most important cultural locations. Its alleys are full of theatres and porticos housing delicious restaurants.

5. Learn About the Famous Painter at the Picasso Museum

Across five palaces in Barcelona’s Old City, you will find more than 4,000 artworks of Pablo Picasso. Organized into the famous artist’s different periods up to 1917, the collection includes The First Communion and Science and Charity. As well as allowing you to take in the paintings, the museum will teach you all about Picasso’s long relationship with Barcelona.

6. Wander Through the Gothic Quarter

The Gothic Quarter is Barcelona’s oldest neighborhood and is full of important landmarks. It's known for its charming narrow streets and beautiful architecture, such as Barcelona Cathedral, Centre Excursionista de Catalunya and Casa Padellàs. The Quarter is stunning and full of life.

7. Enjoy the Show at the Magic Fountain

You will find the Magic Fountain in the heart of Montjuïc. Every night a sound and light show is held that the whole family will love, and it’s different each time. The fountain was constructed for the Barcelona International Exposition in 1929 and has been putting on displays ever since.

8. Try the Local Food in the Boqueria Market

A food market has stood on the site of the Boqueria Market for more than 800 years. It’s now one of the most famous places in Barcelona to try Catalan food — the city’s best chefs are said to visit every morning. The covered market has 330 stalls, each selling the highest-quality produce, and it’s surrounded by some of the best restaurants and bars in Barcelona.

9. Take in the Views From Montjuïc Castle

The old fortress of Montjuïc Castle dates to 1640 and stands over the city. The castle has seen a lot of action. It was captured in the Siege of Barcelona and Napoleonic wars and is infamous for its role in the Spanish Civil War. The best ways to reach the castle are by cable car which will give you panoramic views of the whole city.

10. Visit the Gothic Masterpiece of the Cathedral of Barcelona

The Cathedral of Barcelona is a must-see attraction in Barcelona. Set at the center of the Gothic Quarter, it's a masterpiece. Built between the 13th and 15th centuries, and remodeled in the 19th, its gargoyles are sure to amuse the kids.
