You will have to go to the Cosme Velho train station to board the Train towards the biggest attraction in Rio: the Statue of Christ the Redeemer at the top of Corcovado.
Upon arriving at Cosme Velho station, at the bottom of Corcovado Mountain, you will board the Train with pre-reserved tickets to save time and proceed to the top, through the dense Tijuca Rainforest, to the Christ the Redeemer Statue, 38 meters high (125 feet). The 20-minute ride will give you a chance to fully appreciate the Tijuca Forest, which is considered the largest urban forest in the world and represents 7% of the city's territory.
Upon arriving at the Statue, you will have two options to reach the top: by an elevator and then an escalator, or the traditional way, with 222 steps. But the effort makes it all worthwhile. As soon as you arrive at the feet of the Statue, the views and grandeur of Christ the Redeemer will amaze you with such beauty! Looking up, you will feel blessed and protected by this beautiful monument with open arms, now one of the Seven Wonders of the world! From there, you can see most of the city, the entire South Zone and even Niterói. A unique view that will surprise you. Take the opportunity to enjoy all sides and views of Corcovado and take photos that will eternalize this unforgettable visit.
