You’ll be over the moon with this awesome look into the science and history of the Space Program on our Kennedy Space Center tour with transportation. Learn how it feels to walk on the moon through a special IMAX showing, meet an astronaut, and much, much more! Walk underneath the Space Shuttle Atlantis, ride the Shuttle Launch Experience to see how a launch feels, or explore the new Gateway facility which focuses on the future of space travel. There is something for everyone on this Kennedy Space Center tour
Be a part of history in the making as you explore the ins and outs of Kennedy Space Center on this out-of-this-world day tour. You’ll have access to restricted areas on the bus tour of the complex, walk underneath the massive Saturn V rocket, and even listen to a space hero at the Astronaut Encounter.
One of the many highlights of your day will be the Shuttle Launch Experience, a space simulator that gives you a taste of what astronauts feel when they lift off. You’ll also be able to view IMAX movies, giving you a 3D look into what it’s like to walk on the moon and visit the rocket garden for a surreal experience surrounded by giant rocket flowers.
Give yourself enough time to explore Space Shuttle Atlantis with this tour. This is the world’s most comprehensive attraction devoted to the space shuttle. Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex’s Space Shuttle Atlantis brings visitors nose-to-nose with the priceless Atlantis spacecraft as only astronauts have seen it before – with payload bay doors open as if it were floating in space. More than 60 interactive, touch-screen experiences and high-tech simulators invite guests to be astronauts. This brings to life the people, passion and patriotism behind NASA’s 30-year Space Shuttle Program, as well as the complexity of the engineering marvel that launched the Hubble Space Telescope and built the International Space Station (ISS).
At Atlantis, guests can conduct a virtual EVA, or extravehicular activity, practice docking to the ISS and extract cargo from the payload bay. You will create sonic booms, glide to a landing on the re-entry slide and experience the sensation of floating in space. A high-fidelity replica of the ISS is waiting to be explored. Then you can mate Atlantis to the external tank virtually and kick up a chemical reaction to launch the shuttle and there’s much more to see and do. This is the best expansion Kennedy Space Center has ever offered, giving you yet another reason to visit.
Another new experience to explore is Gateway. This opened in May 2022 and the facility explores the future of space travel — the Deep Space Launch Complex. Discover the current and upcoming cutting-edge innovations of space exploration from NASA and their commercial partners. Then enter the spaceport of the future and launch aboard one of four unforgettable journeys to distant worlds on an immersive ride. This is an attraction you won't want to miss.
The Kennedy Space Center Tour is a can’t-miss chance to feel like a real astronaut.
