River Plate Museum
Founded on November 9, 2009, the River Museum houses the most precious treasures of the history of Club Atlético River Plate. In its 120 years, the Club has lived glorious moments both in sports and institutional terms. Whether in football or in corporate terms, the Museum reflects each of these stages in different ways.
Without a doubt, River Plate is the biggest club in Argentina and its recognition is worldwide. Those idols, objects and places are found in the heart of the Monumental Stadium.
El Museo River covers more than 3500 square meters of surface. Its environments reflect different thematic areas that divide the route, referenced in emblematic closures in the history of River. With a unprecedented technological display in the country, the Museum has a 360-degree film in which a film is projected that expresses the feeling of the River Plate rainforest.
Through the Tiempo Tunnel, tourists will be able to discover, chronologically, the key personalities of River Plate, the teams that did great for the Club, the best goals, the outstanding triumphs and the most valuable trophies, all related to national and international history.
In addition, those who use this space will remember the origins of the Club, the first steps in professionalism, the outstanding parties and the glory that always accompanied River Plate. These sections contain audiovisual shows that invoke the context of each era of River.
The River Museum intends to be a reservoir of the history and heritage of the Club, able to be enjoyed by the general public interested in River Plate and in football itself as an expression of popular culture.
