A short 30-minute drive from Budapest takes us to the beautiful baroque Royal Palace of Gödöllő, the former summer residence of Queen Elisabeth (Sisi) and her husband Francis Joseph (Habsburg Emperor & Hungarian King from 1867-1916). The Palace's ornate rooms and the surrounding grounds, gives you a glimpse into the life of the royal family during the Austro-Hungarian Empire. You will hear stories about the Royal Palace, it's extravagant and fully restored rooms, it's hidden passageways, and the secret lives of the royal couple who lived there.
